Welcome to Mole Valley Ramblers, offering friendly group walking across the heart of Surrey and further afield. You can be assured of good company and the joy of walking in beautiful countryside, with a leader who has carefully planned the route.
When do you walk?
We provide a full range of led walks on most days of the week, ranging in length from 3 to 15 miles. Numbers vary, but there are typically a dozen people on each walk.
At the weekends, we offer both half-day walks and a more stretching, whole-day hike on Saturdays.
Wednesday is our main mid-week walking day when there is usually a choice of two walks, roughly six miles in length.
For those who might prefer to start with something gentler, we offer shorter, leisurely walks of 3-5 miles on various days of the week. These often include the option of a café stop for tea and/or cake.
When the days are longer, we add evening walks to the programme, and our whole-day walks venture further afield. We also arrange occasional day trips and holidays.
Where do you walk?
Our regular walks are typically around the central part of the Surrey Hills within half an hour of the towns of Dorking and Leatherhead but stretching to Guildford in the west and Reigate in the east. With Box Hill, Leith Hill and Ranmore Common nearby, we have a wide range of walking opportunities all year round. Wherever you live, you are welcome to join Mole Valley Ramblers.

If you have any questions about a walk, please feel free to contact the leader in advance. Our whole-day walks tend to be more strenuous, and some of them do need to be pre-booked. The walk details will explain how.
Whether you are new to walking or an experienced walker who is looking for a group to walk with, you should be able to find something to suit you from our extensive programme.
New to Ramblers?
If you aren't a Ramblers member, we invite you to join three walks free of charge or commitment, but after that, we ask that you join the Ramblers.
How do I join?
Simply go to the Join now section of the Ramblers website, where you can sign up as a member. Please select "Mole Valley Ramblers" as your chosen Group. If you are already a Ramblers member, just go to the Ramblers website, sign into your account, then "Update profile" to change your walking group to Mole Valley.
